Boy Scouts

Troop 533

Troop 533 is sponsored by Oak Mountain Church and is “boy lead" while being mentored by qualified adults. The boys are challenged as leaders, and in the development of godly character.

For over 100 years, Scouting programs have instilled the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. These values are just as relevant today in helping young men reach their full potential as they were back in 1910. Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that will positively influence their adult lives.

Boy Scouts allow young men to:

  • Try new things.
  • Provide service to others.
  • Build self-confidence.
  • Reinforce ethical standards.
