Our Vision...
In keeping with the Mission Statement here at Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church, “to disciple the entire congregation in living out the gospel of grace, resulting in transforming relationships with God, the Body of Christ, and the Lost”, the Oak Mountain Worship Ministry has developed a program to assist our schools and music programs in training up musicians for worship leadership and musical impact in our community. The School of Fine Arts will assist parents who are seeking musical training for their children that is both Gospel-centered while remaining grounded in music fundamentals. Our desire is to see this school used not only for our church and school members, but also as an outreach that will further expose the community to the Gospel.
The Worship Ministry believes any well-rounded education should include training in the arts, and, by God’s grace, the church is one of the most qualified to offer this type of training. The faculty and staff of OMSFA commits to you, the student, our very best.
Music Instruction
We offer private music lessons in 30 minute sessions in piano, voice, guitar and drum. Group lessons are available in both piano and guitar in 45 minute to 1 hour sessions.
Tuition & Billing
Tuition is either prepaid at the beginning of each month at the rate of $100/month or in full at the beginning of the semester. Tuition is considered late after the first lesson of the month and will accrue a late fee of 10%. In addition, an annual registration fee of $25 is due at the time of enrollment, at the beginning of the Fall semester. Each semester will include twelve 30 minute lessons, one group lesson and recital.
Parents are required to commit their child to a full year of lessons (two semesters) and to sign our Student Agreement Form. Discontinuation of lessons will require a two-month written notice. Tuition may be paid via check, cash or money order. In the event of a returned check, a $25 fee will be applied. In the event of more than one returned check, future payments must be made by cash or money order only.
Materials, books and supplies for lessons will be purchased by OMSFA and billed to the student in their monthly or semester tuition.
Attendance
Excused absences will be granted make-up lessons. A missed lesson will be excused for sickness that keeps the student out of school, or a death in the family. Lessons must be cancelled no later than 24 hours before the scheduled lesson. Any lessons cancelled in less than 24 hours or forgotten will not be made-up and tuition forfeited. If an instructor misses a lesson or must cancel, the instructor is required to offer a make-up lesson. Students who miss a scheduled make-up lesson will forfeit the lesson and a second one will not be scheduled. Students who are late for a scheduled lesson time or forget their lesson books cannot be guaranteed their full lesson time. In the event of inclement weather, the OMSFA will follow school closings, with all missed lessons rescheduled.
