Orphan Care

To provide for the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of orphans and waiting children.

  • There are 143 million orphans in the world
  • In Eastern Europe, less than 50% of orphans will live to see their 20th birthdays and 1/2 of those that survive have no one to survive and end up in organized crime, drugs, or prostitution
  • Every day 5,760 more children become orphans
  • Every 15 seconds, another child in Africa becomes an AIDS orphan
  • Each year over 14 million children grow up as orphans and 'age out' of the system by age sixteen
  • Every 2.2 seconds another orphan ages out with no family to belong to and no place to call home
  • In Russia and the Ukraine, studies have shown that 10% – 15% of these children commit suicide before they reach age eighteen
  • These studies also show that 60% of the girls become prostitutes and 70% of the boys become hardened criminals

The statistics are overwhelming but not greater than the love and power of God and we, the body of Christ, can make a profound difference in the lives of orphans. Please pray, consider and join us to “Defend the cause of the fatherless...” Isaiah 1:17
