Bring a breakfast (AM) or a salad (PM) dish. Mingle. Laugh. Hear a testimony and review Bible study offerings for the winter/spring! Pick up your books for the studies as well.

Come to Me: Finding Soul Rest in a Weary World by Nancy Carroll

This 11-week Bible study will expose you to spiritual practices that help create space in your life for God and is a follow-up to Bob Flayhart's sermon series on "rest." We will sink into Jesus Christ's invitation to rest in Him through Scripture, prayer and spiritual disciplines, such as lectio divina, solitude, examen, discernment, Sabbath and "rule of life." There will be daily Scripture meditations and excerpts from Ruth H. Barton's book Sacred Rhythms and Adele A. Calhoun's Spiritual Discipline Handbook. There will be a large-group class followed by small group discussion. Notebooks will be $10. Optional: Sacred Rhythms is $11.

Join us as we study the ancient truths in Hebrews and apply them to our very real needs for today - the needs for significance, security, and hope for the future. God doesn't always change the "place" you're in, but He can change your perspective. He uses His Holy Work, His Holy Spirit and His holy people to help us. Set out on an 11-week journey together with God's people through the book of Philippians as we seek perspective and joy. Ultimately, what we seek and desperately need - is JESUS. Notebooks are $10.

John Calvin once referred to the hearts of believers and unbelievers alike as "idol making factories." Approval, "Happy Marriage/Children," career and financial success are just a few of the idols that drive us to anxiety, control, anger, and a host of other sins that erode our connection with God and one another. Like Paul, we don't do what we truly desire, and we do what we despise. To break this cycle; we need an all-out transforming rescue from the God who saves and satisfies. Join us as we look beneath our besetting sins to the deeper desires that drive them and discover our rescue within the gospel we thought we knew. This is a 9-week study in which you will watch a DVD of Julie and break into small groups to discuss weekly questions. The cost of the notebook is $20.
