Youth Mission Trip: Belize

LOCATION: Orange Walk, Belize, formerly known as British Honduras, is a third world country in Central America just south of Mexico and east of Guatemala on the Caribbean coast.

COST: $1,250.00 includes Flight, Food/Lodging, Transportation, Building Material, Exit Fees and Sight Seeing. $100.00 non-refundable deposit due with registration.

TYPE OF MISSION: Construction on Presbyterian Day School in Orange Walk. This mission will provide Vacation Bible School for children in the mornings, construction, painting and cleaning opportunities in the afternoon and outreach to students in the evening.

ADVENTURE: During our stay in Belize, we will take a day trip to one of the largest Myan ruins in Central America. We will also travel to Ambergis Caye for a day of snorkeling and relaxation on the second largest coral reef in the world found off the coast of Belize.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Demonstration of a credible profession of faith

• Entering the 10th grade or older

• Completed Short Term Missions Application, Registration Form and $100 deposit by Feb. 12, 2012

• Consistent Involvement in Oak Mountain Youth Ministries

• Participation in all Monthly Preparatory Team Meetings

• US Passport

• Medicine to protect against Malaria & current Tetanus Shot
